Earn two bachelor’s degrees in four years: a BA in Biology from Webster University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Barnes-Jewish College Goldfarb School of Nursing.
Begin at Webster where you will build a strong foundation in biology and science. After completing the required coursework and meeting all program requirements, you will be able to continue to Goldfarb’s Upper Division track. Goldfarb reserves seats for eligible Direct Admit BSN students, giving you a defined path toward nursing from the beginning of your college experience.

How the Pathway Works
Years 1–2: Webster University
Complete biology, science and general education coursework while working toward your
BA in Biology.
At Webster, you will benefit from:

Years 3–4: Goldfarb School of Nursing
After completing the required coursework and meeting all progression requirements, continue to Goldfarb’s Upper Division BSN track.

Students apply to the Direct Admit BSN Program through Webster University. Applications are accepted year round and reviewed on a rolling basis. Because space is limited, students are encouraged to apply early for their preferred Fall or Spring start term.
After beginning at Webster, students complete Goldfarb’s required transfer application step during their first 15 college-level credit hours. Academic advisors will help students understand and complete this step.
Goldfarb reserves seats for students admitted into the Direct Admit BSN program. Students will progress to the Goldfarb half of the program once they complete the required Webster coursework and all program requirements.
To remain eligible, students must:
- Maintain the required cumulative GPA at Webster
- Earn a final grade of C or higher in required prerequisite courses
- Complete all required Webster coursework
- Complete Goldfarb’s required transfer application step
- Meet all academic, progression and clinical-readiness requirements
Students receive advising throughout the pathway to help them monitor their progress and prepare for the transition to Goldfarb.
Students may be eligible for financial aid and scholarships during both portions of the pathway. Costs, scholarships and financial aid eligibility may differ between Webster and Goldfarb.

FAQs About the Direct Admit BSN Program
Direct admission means a student's seat is reserved in the BSN program from the time they are admitted into the Direct Admit BSN program at Webster. Students may progress to the Goldfarb portion of the program as long as they complete the required Webster coursework and meet all program requirements.
Students must maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA at Webster and earn a C or higher in all required prerequisite courses. Additional academic, progression and clinical-readiness requirements apply.
You will apply to Webster for admission to the Direct Admit BSN Program. During your first 15 college-level credit hours at Webster, you will also complete a Goldfarb application.
This step is part of the direct admission process — not a separate competitive nursing program application. Instead of spending your first two years wondering whether you will be accepted into a nursing program, you can begin at Webster with a reserved path to Goldfarb, provided you meet all program requirements. Your academic advisor will guide you through each step.
The pathway is designed to be completed in four years or less. Students typically complete their first four semesters at Webster and their final five terms at Goldfarb. Goldfarb runs three terms per year, so your five terms will be complete in just 20 months.
Students who do not meet the progression requirements will work with Webster advisors to understand their options. Depending on completed coursework and individual goals, options may include Webster’s 2+2 nursing pathway, another Webster academic program or another health-related pathway.
