Create a More Just World with Us

Webster University’s interdisciplinary faculty members in the Department of Law, Crime and Social Justice are committed to developing your critical thinking and analysis skills. Through our student-centered approach, we curate courses that examine structures of law. For example, we explore how assumptions about race affect crime, and how sex, gender, class and sexuality both reproduce and resist hierarchies of power. By graduation, our students cultivate real-world practical skills applicable to a growing number of careers in the criminal justice field.

Undergraduate Programs

Law schools look for broadly-educated individuals who precisely communicate objectives and motives. Students select courses based on their own interests and abilities to earn an undergraduate degree with a focus on pre-law. Webster's academic advisors help Pre-Law students design a curriculum that reflects the recommendations for pre-legal education developed by the Association of American Law Schools.

“My degree will allow me to keep using my pen to write opinions on laws and policies and fight for a community that is often left behind, whether that is in social work or a federal probation office.”
