A BS in Data Analytics Program Provides Knowledge to Help With Wise Business Decision Making
Data analytics allows companies to accurately know how the business is doing and enables insights for better decision making at the executive level. Data analytics encompasses a wide range of technologies to support analyzing business data, transforming information and generating intelligence. Technologies play important roles in the data analytics process and form the foundation of its architecture, and the need for employees who are knowledgable with such technologies and can perform analysis and help form analytically focused strategies continues to grow.
Data Analytics Professionals Are in High Demand
There is a constant need for data analysis and information analysts who can understand databases, query data, and perform activities in analytical processing, statistical analysis, forecasting and data mining. The Bachelor of Science in Data Analytics program at Webster is created to meet this demand by helping students understand underlying concepts and methodologies that are used in the data analytics process. Students will learn various technologies that support effective business decision making in today’s increasingly competitive environment.

Requirements for Webster's Degree in Data Analytics
To complete a BS in Data Analytics program, students need to earn a minimum of 120 credit hours consisting of the following:
- 42 required credit hours
- Applicable University Global Citizenship Program hours
- Elective credit hours
At least 21 of the required 42 credit hours must be taken at Webster University. All upper-level courses must be taken at Webster University.

What Can You Do With Your Data Analytics Degree?
Salaries for Graduates With a Bachelor's in Data Analytics
Examples of a median salary include Data Scientists at $100,910 a year, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. The median annual wage for Management Analysts is now about $93,000, with Operations Research Analysts' salaries at around $82,360.
