Ceramics Student Artwork on Display at Union Studio

Students in the Fall 2024 Art 4530 Focus in Ceramics course were given the opportunity to exhibit their work in the display window of Union Studio in Webster Groves. Titled "Apricity," (the warmth of the sun in winter), the showcase of work explores the idea of light through functional ceramic lamps and candle holders.

Participating artists include Abigail Banholzer, Brynne Bursack, Jessica Daniels, Brittaney Davis, Riley Muehlenbeck and Parker Williamson. The window exhibit is on display until March 11, 2025.

Professor Lindsay Pichaske presented this opportunity as she felt students would gain valuable professional experience through exhibiting their artwork in the community. Students came up with the concept, created artwork for the exhibit on top of their studio work for class and worked with the team at Union Studio to conceptualize the display. One student has already received a commission request!

Union Studio is a women-owned small business, located just down the street from Webster University, and sells artwork made by local artists. Webster University’s Department of Art, Design and Art History is happy to have Union Station as partners in the community, and encourage the community to view the artwork while it is on display.
