Norah Murphy
Norah Murphy is a junior at Ladue High School and started her percussion studies with
Michael Faris at CMS in 2020. An avid musician, Norah has also studied guitar since
3rd grade and was selected for both the St. Louis All Suburban Honors Band and All
Suburban Choir this year.
This past summer Norah was invited to attend the prestigious Julliard Percussion Seminar. This year, Norah continues to perform as an active member of the CMS Young Person’s Symphonic Orchestra and St. Louis Youth Orchestra and was recognized with a CMS Artistic Merit Scholarship. Tonight marks Norah’s first appearance with the YPSO as a concerto soloist as one of this year’s competition winners.
Thomas Owens
Thomas Owens, a native of Madison, Illinois, is one-half of the viral duo whose rendition
of “A Change Is Gonna Come” captivated audiences worldwide. With roots in gospel,
soul and blues, Thomas delivers a vocal style that is both timeless and uniquely his
own. Thomas has made high-profile appearances, including a spotlight performance on
the "Today Show." Earlier this year, he released a celebrated recording featuring
collaborations with Dylan, Michael McDonald and the legendary Hi Rhythm Section. His
work has also seen him join forces with iconic saxophonist David Sanborn, further
cementing his place among modern soul greats.
Known for his heartfelt delivery and powerful storytelling, Thomas’s music transcends

Brian Owens
Brian Owens is a soul artist whose music radiates timeless authenticity, blending
the rich traditions of gospel, R&B and soul with a modern, heartfelt sensibility.
Hailing from Ferguson, Missouri, Brian is celebrated for his smooth, emotive vocals
and his commitment to creating music that uplifts and inspires. Known for his viral
duet with his father on Sam Cooke’s “A Change Is Gonna Come,” Brian’s artistry has
