Congratulations to the following talented young musicians from the Community Music School of Webster University’s Preparatory Program (Prep) that have excelled in various prestigious competitions across the St. Louis region, showcasing their dedication and musical excellence.

Outstanding Accomplishments:

  • Zoe Baldwin (violin) – Winner of the St. Louis Philharmonic Young Artist Solo Competition
  • Charis Shing (violin) – Winner of the Belleville Philharmonic Stars of Tomorrow Competition
  • Abigail Deeter (cello) – Honorable Mention at the Belleville Philharmonic Stars of Tomorrow Competition
  • Julie Park (violin) – Winner of the Town & Country Symphony Orchestra Rising Talents Competition
  • Finalists in the St. Louis Philharmonic Young Artist Solo Competition: Hayden Baker (violin), Eric Chen (violin), Aiden Moon (violin), and Sam Wenger-Stickel (violin)

About the Preparatory Program: The Community Music School’s Preparatory Program (Prep) is designed for advanced string, woodwind, and piano students who aspire to reach new levels of musicianship. The pinnacle of the CMS sequential music education program, Prep offers students the opportunity to perform chamber music in various ensembles. Students receive high-caliber instruction from professional musicians on advanced repertoire, performance opportunities, music theory training, and special guest artist events. It is an intensive program devoted to developing the whole musician and preparing graduates for a lifetime of musical success.
