Designed for teachers who want to help non-native English speakers develop their use of the a foreign language, the Graduate Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) guides students in becoming the educators who make a difference.
Graduate students in the TEFL certificate program learn about second language acquisition, curriculum development and language cultures. With a selection of elective courses, they also have the opportunity to study language history and linguistics.

Five terms in an academic year make it easy to tailor your education to your life. Courses are offered in both semester and 8- or 9-week periods, and can consist of multiple modalities with our assortment of in person, hybrid, and online course options. Webster also offers a variety of degree, certificate, and non-degree programs.
