Students will have the opportunity of living in the newly renovated residence “Les Berges du Rhone.” This is a “V” shaped edifice, located on the banks of the river Rhone and facing the ‘Pont de Sous-Terre’. The bridge connects the communes of ‘Junction’ and ‘St. Jean’ in the centre of Geneva. • Single studios: kitchenette, bathroom within
• Three-bedroom apartments: 1 single bedroom and 2 shared bedrooms. 2 shared bathrooms within. Communal kitchen on corridor.
• Studio with two-beds: kitchenette, bathroom within.
• Four-bedroom apartments: 3 single rooms, 1 double bedroom, 2 shared bathrooms within. Communal kitchen on corridor
• 3 equipped communal kitchens – 1 on each floor
• All-inclusive rents vary depending on the apartment and floor
• Rent is inclusive of all costs: ADSL internet connection, electricity, heating and hot water.
• The laundry room is coin operated.

What is not provided:

While all WUG accommodations are fully furnished with a bed, a desk, shelving, night table, and wardrobe etc, students are obliged to provide their own bed linen, towels, kitchen utensils and dishes. We do not provide TVs, radios, alarm clocks or hair dryers.

Additional Information:

• In some terms we may have more students seeking accommodation than available rooms. There may be times when shared rooms become a necessity for a period of time when demand is greater than available rooms.
• All rents are fully inclusive of charges.
• Rooms at ‘Les Berges’ are not available before or after the designated arrival or departure dates, so please make alternative housing arrangements if you plan to come early or stay longer.
• Understand that your housing request is for space. We reserve the right to make room changes and consolidate roommates temporarily: i.e. if a resident vacates a room, the remaining student must be willing to accept another roommate or move to another space when requested by the university to do so.
• “Les Berges du Rhone” can not accommodate families.
• Residents sign a contract on arrival in Geneva.
• All WUG residents are required to subscribe to Personal Liability Insurance at a cost of approximately CHF50 per year.
