Webster University Study Abroad Student Video Contest

What is the contest? 

• The contest is administered by the Office of Study Abroad (OSA) and will allow students, who study abroad during the Summer, Spring, or Fall semesters, to submit a video they have created during their study abroad experience. 
• The videos will be submitted via the OSA’s Facebook page Webster Abroad.
• At the end of the summer term and each semester, “friends” of the Webster Abroad Facebook will vote on their favorite entry. 
• The winners (3 per academic year) will be announced during the beginning of the semester following their study abroad experience
• The winner will receive:
  • $50 gift card
  • Video featured on the OSA Web site

Who May Enter?

Webster University students who successfully complete one term abroad.

When does this take place?

The deadlines for submissions are as follows:

• Summer term deadline:  August 31
• Fall semester deadline:  December 31
• Spring semester deadline:  May 31

Voting will take place during a two-week time span, beginning on the deadline date for each semester. 

The winners will be announced:

• Summer semester winner announced:  September 15
• Fall semester winner announced:  January 15
• Spring semester winner announced:  June 15

How do students enter/vote?

To enter

1. Become a friend of the OSA on facebook:  Webster Abroad
2. Submit video including when and where studied abroad, your name, and your contact information
3. Title should read:  CAMPUS, TERM, NAME, CONTACT INFORMATION (i.e.  Geneva, Spring 2009, Carrie Mosebach, carriemosebach03@webster.edu)
4. Video must be between 2-5 minutes in length

To vote:

1. Become a friend of the OSA’s Facebook page Webster Abroad
2. Submit ONE comment on the video, stating, “Winner.” 
3. There will be only one vote per person, that will be calculated
4. The OSA will tally the votes.
