Webster University to Host First Human Rights Summer Institute

What/Who:

Webster University will host its first Human Rights Summer Institute for 2008-2009 high school seniors. The Institute is designed for students interested in studying human rights and who are concerned about the state of the world today. Students will hear from human rights experts and participate in guided research, tackling topics such as human trafficking, child labor and the environment.

The Human Rights Summer Institute kicks off the Webster University College of Arts and Sciences “Year of Human Rights, which will span the entire 2008-2009 academic year. It will also commemorate the 60th anniversary of the signing of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights on December 10, 1948.
