Non-military participation in the classes continued to grow, and in 1986 the University opened the Little Rock Metropolitan Campus.
As an established member of the Arkansas academic community, the Little Rock Metropolitan Campus maintains administrative services, classroom and computer facilities, and a learning resource center to better serve the student clientele.
