Webster University’s Global Internship Experience challenges aspiring young professionals to apply their academic training to the workplace. Global internships have a transformative impact on the intern’s professional and personal development as well as on host organizations and communities.

Corporate & Non-Profit Partners

Corporate and non-profit partners receive a screened, qualified, English-speaking intern full time for eight weeks over the summer. Overview information is available in the Corporate Brochure.

Usually mid-May to the end of July

Internship Placements for U.S. Candidates

Internships are full-time 8-week placements offered during the summer in Austria, China, Germany, Japan, Mexico, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. The application for U.S. candidates is November 15, 2012. For more details, please visit the GIE Application page.

Internship Placements for Qualified Global Candidates

Internships are full-time 8-week placements offered during the summer in Missouri. The GIE is available to F-1 students studying at Webster University (for additional information, please read the F-1e-brochure), and qualified candidates studying at partner universities worldwide (for additional information, please read the J-1 e-brochure). The application deadline for global candidates is February 15, 2013. For more details, please visit the GIE Application page.

Internship Fields

Internships are available in business, communications/public relations, computer science, education, and various humanities/social science fields. The GIE works individually with participants to assess skill level and interest and to obtain an appropriate placement for each student.
