| Don, having grown up a navy brat, had seen much of the world before returning to the US for college. After degrees in History, Asian Studies and Sociology, he eventually became an anthropologist, and teaches courses on gender and critical masculinity studies, Islam and the Middle East, China, class, ethnicity, power, violence, and social theory. He also dearly loves international films and literatures, world musics, and believes we should all read utopian fiction to sharpen our visions of a just future, and live and work in the present so that we create that future. |
