The Community Music School of Webster University (CMS) has offered outstanding music education and performance opportunities to students of all ages and abilities in the St. Louis area and beyond since its founding in 1925.  

Our music faculty include world-class performers who are also master teachers. The entire St. Louis metropolitan region is served with multiple locations, including the headquarters and concert hall located on the Webster University campus in historic Webster Groves. 


New Program "Music Today" Offered this Fall 

The Community Music School of Webster University offers a new program led by nationally renowned contemporary music ensemble Alarm Will Sound. The new program, "Music Today", will be offered in fall 2014 for the full academic year.

"Music Today" introduces students to contemporary chamber music performance and the business-related skills of concert production.

Summer Music Programs at the CMS

The Community Music School offers a variety of summer music programs for all ages (birth-18 years).  Programs include:  Kindermusik® Family Camp, Band, Flute, Low Brass, String Orchestra, Chamber Music Encounter, & Composition Intensive.  

Application Deadlines:  March 6 for Chamber Music Encounter, May 15 for June camps, and June 15 for Composition Intensive.
