Greetings! Everyone knows that 2008 was a difficult year for the country, the economy, and American business. The Center for Professional Development has worked diligently to develop programs to help you weather these difficult times by providing needed skills training and development for your hard working employees.
Also, for businesses experiencing real difficulty, we have our Outplacement and Career Transition services to help lessen the negative impact of any layoff by helping your workers transition to new employment smoothly and quickly.
2009 highlights from the Center include:
• The 2009 HR Leadership Roundtable Series - an excellent opportunity to keep abreast of current trends in HR and network with other professionals. This FREE series features top St. Louis HR professionals as facilitators for roundtable discussions on a chosen topic to bring out current and potential issues concerning today’s businesses with a focus on Human Resources. Click here to see the schedule and lineup.
• Leadership for Managers: Getting Maximum Results from Your Team – How do you differentiate yourself from your predecessors? How do you get the most out of your people? This primer for new supervisors and a refresher for experienced individuals can help your company survive in these trying economic times.
• The Articulate Professional – Writing coach Dick Weiss provides tips that you can apply in a variety of ways on the job in e-mails, letters, proposals, PowerPoint presentations and in large and small group meetings. He also shares tried and true presentation techniques designed to engage and even entertain an audience.
• Maximizing Performance through Productivity – The best way to do “more with less” is to be organized and efficient. This program provides tips, tricks, and techniques to enable you to be more effective through organization and planning.
• EPIP – Employee Performance Improvement Program - This program equips supervisors to integrate the performance needs of the organization with the employee evaluation and discipline programs by focusing on behavior modification, not punishment.
• Leadership Through People Skills® - Coaching to gain support, coordinate team efforts and improve performance is a critical leadership skill. Without being able to recognize and adapt to the four distinct styles of on-the-job behavior, a leader will be less than optimally effective. This three-day seminar will change the way you think about workplace relationships and help you become a more enlightened leader. Offered through special arrangement with Psychological Associates.
• Our highly successful Leadership Continuum Certification® program will enrich the abilities of your organization’s leaders. This signature program, encompassing both pragmatic and artistic aspects of leadership, is designed to establish a culture of innovative and explorative leadership.
• On-Line Training specifically for your company! We can create a suite of affordable on-line training courses, carefully selected from our catalog of over 300 online offerings.
• If you need to rent space to conduct your own staff training, the Center may be able to accommodate your needs.
At the Center we approach 2009 with a new sense of purpose and optimism for the economy and your business. All of our programs are available for customized, on-site delivery at your choice of locations or you may choose to send your staff to some of our public offerings as outlined in this catalog. Please email us at thebridge@webster.edu or call us at 314-246-3135 or toll-free at 800-515-1306 to explore how the Center for Professional Development can help you go “from where you are to where you’re meant to be.”
