    Corporate, Foundation and Government Relations

    The Corporate, Foundation and Government Relations team (CFGR) builds relationships with potential funders from the private and public sector to advance the mission and goals of Webster University.  The Corporate, Foundation and Government Relations Team:

    • Acts as the primary point of contact for corporate, foundation, and government relations activities of the University;
    • Assists faculty in preparing effective proposals to corporations, private foundations, and federal agencies;
    • Works to inform University strategy in responding to challenges and opportunities related to federal legislation and government activities; and
    • Promotes Webster University’s image/relations with corporate entities, the private philanthropic community, and government officials through targeted cultivation, communications, and events.

    For Faculty and Administrators

    All Webster University grant proposals must be reviewed by the Development Office, Finance, and Academic Affairs, prior to submission. The CFGR team offers experience, useful contacts, and context to guide you through the proposal process and increase the likelihood of your proposal’s success with corporate, foundation, and government audiences.

    If you are interested in developing a grant proposal, please contact Carolyn Corley, Director of Foundation and Government Relations at 314-968-5942, or Ryan Elliott, Director of Advancement Services at 314-968-5963, to get the process started.

    Grantwriting

    The Corporate, Foundation and Government Relations Team primarily dedicates its grantwriting efforts to supporting projects that address the institutional priorities designated in the University Strategic Plan and to initiatives identified by the University schools and colleges as academic priorities. For priority projects, CFGR provides a comprehensive set of services:

    • Prospect identification and research
    • Inter- and multi-disciplinary team identification and coordination
    • Proposal coordination and development
    • Planning and staffing for on- and off-campus site visits
    • Editing and writing support for letters of inquiry and proposals
    • Help securing institutional approval and letters of institutional support
    • Assistance gathering institutional information and materials
    • Editing and preparation of stewardship reports for awarded grants

    For other projects, CFGR can provide a more limited set of services including:

    • Prospect research
    • Editing and writing support for letters of inquiry and proposals
    • Help securing institutional approval and letters of institutional support
    • Assistance gathering institutional information and materials
    • Editing of stewardship reports for awarded grants
