Each year the Alumni Association appoints a special committee to select recipients for the following alumni awards.  Please feel free to submit nominations by fax or mail to the Alumni Office.  Fax to 314-968-7108 or mail to Webster University Alumni Office, 470 East Lockwood, St. Louis, MO 63119.

Distinguished Alumni Award

The Distinguished Alumni Award is the highest award presented to an alum by the Alumni Association.  It is presented to an alumna or alumnus who has made specific, meritorious contributions to society through his or her profession or field of voluntary service.  This award recognizes high achievement that reflects credit upon the individual and Webster University.

Outstanding Alumni Award

The Outstanding Alumni Award is presented annually to an alumna or alumnus from each of the University’s five schools or colleges.  The Award is presented for specific, meritorious contributions to the community through their profession or field of voluntary service.  The recipient is selected by the Dean’s committee from each school or college.

The Loretto Award

The Loretto Award is presented annually to an alumna or alumnus who has given significantly of herself or himself in the area of service to humanity and social justice.  The Award is and intended to continue the recognition of the community service and social justice values of the Sisters of Loretto who originally founded Webster College in 1915.

Mary Elizabeth Newell Award

The Mary Elizabeth Newell Loyalty Award is presented annually to an alumna or alumnus who has demonstrated a high degree of loyalty, commitment and concern for Webster University over a span of many years.

Young Alumni Award

The Young Alumni Award is presented annually to an alum who promotes the values and elevates the profile of Webster University through leadership in his/her profession, contributions to society through public service, and ongoing support of the University.  This person must be an alumnus or alumna of Webster University who received his/her degree within the last 10 years of being nominated and is 35 years of age or younger.
