Brig Gen Mike Callan, USAF (Ret.)
Associate Vice President for Military & Government Programs
Brig Gen Mike Callan, USAF (Ret.) currently serves as Webster University's Associate Vice President for Military and Government Programs. A career Air Force officer with 30 years experience, Callan retired from the Air Force in 2011 as the Vice Commander, 17th Air Force and U.S. Air Forces Africa, at Ramstein Air Base, Germany. Callan entered the Air Force in 1981 as a Reserve Officer Training Corps graduate. He was a Command pilot with more than 4,400 flying hours. He has previously commanded at the Squadron, Group, Wing and Numbered Air Force levels including the 71st Flying Training Wing at Vance Air Force Base, Okla., and 23rd Air Force, Headquarters Air Force Special Operations Command, Hurlburt Field, Fla. He received a BS degree in mathematics from Slippery Rock State College, Pa., and master's degrees in general administration from the University of Maryland and National Security Strategy from the National War College. Callan has also completed numerous top-level military training courses including Squadron Officer School, Air Command and Staff College, Armed Forces Staff College, Air War College, and National War College.
OMA Coordinator / Academic Affairs
Tamara Minley has worked for Webster University for over 5 years as a Coordinator within Academic Affairs. She manages and coordinates all aspects of state renewals, business licensing, data reports and spreadsheets, ESO and SAA communications as well as student related processes and procedures. Tamara has spent more than 12 years in higher education and 5 years working with military and metropolitan campuses on both civilian and military student concerns. Prior to her position at Webster University, Tamara was with St Louis Community College for 7 years as an Office Manager and the Assistant to Dean of Communications, Mathematics and English. Tamara holds a Masters in Marketing and Advertising and a Masters in Human Resource Development.
VetSuccess on Campus Counselor (VSOC)
Jason joins the Office of Military Affairs as a VetSuccess on Campus Counselor (VSOC). His affiliation with the Veterans Affairs and awareness of VA benefits will provide veterans, services members and dependents of veterans and service members a resource to utilize for all things VA. Jason is a veteran of the United States Army and served with the 101st Airborne during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Jason graduated from Webster University in 2010 with a Bachelor's Degree in Management and also from Maryville University in 2013 with a Master's in Rehabilitation Counseling. Prior to working for the Veteran's Affairs Jason spent over seven years working as a Veterans Service Officer for the Department of Missouri Veterans of Foreign Wars.
