Timeline

• 1915: Founded by the Sisters of Loretto, the college was the first 4-year Catholic women’s college west of the Mississippi River
• 1962: Became coeducational
• 1967: Sisters of Loretto voted to transfer leadership to a lay board of directors
• 1972: Opened first extended campus in Kansas City, Mo.
• 1974: Opened first military campus in Ft. Sheridan, Ill.
